Choral Workshops
Every year, the Suffolk Singers put on a Choral Workshop led by our Director Claire Weston, and her team. We regularly have around 150 people join us for what is a productive and jolly day.
Our aims are
- for people with a like minded interest to come together and meet each other
- for people to enjoy sharing music-making
- to provide the opportunity for you to sing larger works that singers might not often have the chance to sing with their choir
- to learn some valuable singing technique
- to have a real sense of achievement from the start to the end of the day
- for you to enjoy it: it's not about perfection but having a work in progress because for us music is about joy and collaboration with others who have the same goal in sight
- have lots of lovely cakes!
A typical day runs from 9.30am to around 5.00pm
- Registering, with refreshments provided
- Coming together to listen to the works and have a sight-read
- Coffee break
- Sectional rehearsals with Claire and her team
